The Pangasinan State University-Alaminos City Campus (PSU-ACC) concluded a two-day training on Gender and Development (GAD) and Global Citizenship today, April 29, held at the PSU-ACC Audio Visual Room (AVR). This program aims to strengthened gender sensitivity, peace education, safe workplace culture and mental well-being among employees.
The training kicked off on April 22 highlighting safe spaces and peace education to promote gender sensitivity and a culture of peace among the staff in the campus. Today, the program focused on work-life balance and mental health interventions that provided employees with strategies on stress management and balancing between their professional and personal roles.
π΄π. π«πππππππ π΄ππ πππ, resource speaker, facilitated the intervention focus through interactive discussion and lectures. She emphasized actionable strategies on coping with stress and sustaining wellness inside and outside the workplace. Moreover, she shared breathing exercises for managing stress, anxiety and burnout.
Before the intervention, the employees participated in a mental health screening that assessed their level of stress, anxiety, and depression.
This GAD initiative supports the mental well-being of the employees as it recognizes that they are more productive and can perform better when they are healthy as individuals.
Overall, the employees gained valuable insights on the significance of peaceful and safe workplace culture and work-life balance to perform effectively as professionals in an institution. By prioritizing the development and wellness of staff, the campus continues to strengthen its foundation for delivering quality education.
